PETALING JAYA, Sept 7 — The wet weather and flood situation in the country at this time is due to the country experiencing the tail end of the Southwest Monsoon (break in the monsoon), Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) director-general Muhammad Helmi said.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) expects the Southwest Monsoon to start from May 19 and last until mid-September, causing a reduction in the rain cloud formation during the period.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — The weather is forecast to be cloudy nationwide with possible rain in the west coast states of Peninsular Malaysia and western Sabah on Hari Raya Aidilfitri day next week.
